
Built around a scope and sequence of over 500 learning objectives, the
Futurekids Real Journeys in Technology series is a
comprehensive and all inclusive curriculum resource ideal for both
computer labs and classrooms. Through a series of thematic units the
Futurekids curriculum covers all of the major ICT areas and teaches the
application of skills in an academic and real life context.

ICT skills are integrated with academically rich content in the Key Learning
Areas of Math’s, English, Science and SOSE. Skills in Applied Technology, Spreadsheets, Multimedia, Graphics, Desktop

Programming are introduced and mastered by students in meaningful, contextual
projects.

Over
the three series there are 9 year level kits that cover 3 project themes. There are 3 year levels
within each series and each theme. The project themes are Futurekids
Frontiers (used in
Year R, 3 & 6), Operation Futurekids
(used in Year 1, 4 & 7), and Futurekids Media
International (used
in Year 2, 5, & 8). Click the links to the right for more information on each

Every Futurekids Real Journeys Year Level provides a full
year's thematic project consisting of 5 units.
Each unit consists of 6 lessons and an assessment,
providing for a
total of 30 lessons and 5 assessments for the year. The Student Workbook provides up to a further 6 student activities per unit.
A school can choose to implement individual year levels, a group of
levels or on a rotational
basis of one theme across all grades.
